Fundraising and Events

Join our team!

We’re looking to grow our team of fundraising and event coordinators to act as a support for our Fundraising and pop-up events to ensure there are adequate resources to support our initiatives for rescue dogs. This requires a commitment of between 2 - 5 Hours per week.

MAA is on the lookout for a fundraising coordinator and/or support person with some organizational skills and knows a thing or two about networking. Of course, this means that you’ll need to be an effective communicator as you’ll be working closely with our team of volunteers as well as the broader public. 

This role involves lots of different tasks, such as organizing fundraising initiatives and supporting events and event lead. Basically, if you know how to spot great fundraising opportunities and ways to raise awareness, we 100% want you to join our team. 

We’d really like to onboard someone that knows about Manitoba Animal Alliance or is willing to learn about us, and who will thrive on helping to expand our fundraising program alongside our Fundraising and Events team leads and our Executive Directors!

General Skills

  • Open-Minded, Creative, Innovative, Flexible

  • Good working on your own as well as with a team

  • Comfortable reaching out to people and making new connections

  • Team Player, supporting where needed

  • Self-Accountable & Organized (Admin skills needed)

  • Good with Email, Excel, Facebook, Google Forms, and other platforms

  • Comfortable reporting to and collaborating with our team leads and Executive Director

Bonus points if you:

  • Have previous project management experience

  • Have previous fundraising experience
